I bought a 52 Telecaster last year on the Portland music layaway plan.  The 10 month layaway interest free is longest I've heard of in the business and allows musicians to purchase quality products they can't afford.  It took me the better part of a year to pay off the Tele.  I almost forgot I was buying it but I have other ones to play so waiting was no big deal.  When I finally took it home it was Christmas day.  I had the day off and nothing going on so I spent it with my new axe.  It was better than I imagined.  This thing has tone for days.  It will scream, give you great blues sound and has all the country bends you can muster.  It has become my main gigging guitar.  Every classic tele sound is in that guitar.  I had sold these instruments for years and always thought they were good but after using it live I realize Leo got it right the first time.  If you are ready to grow up and get a big kids guitar, the 52 tele has one volume knob and one tone knob and the rest is you.  I would highly recommend this instrument.
