Entry Information:
• Event location – Portland Music Company, 531 SE Martin Luther King Blvd., Portland, Oregon 97214.
• Event Dates – Saturday April 19, 2008 and Sunday, April 20, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• 2008 MusicFest Champion, First Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up announced Sunday, April 20, 2008 at close of show.
• Each band must send a completed entry form and cassette, CD, DVD or videotape of the band to the Portland Rose Festival Foundation by MusicFest deadline of 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008.
• DVD’s are strongly suggested. If videotape is not available, the band must include a current group photo.
• Please include additional information about the group’s members such as musical training, career ambitions, extracurricular activities, personal interests, GPAs, etc.
• Registration materials must be received by no later than 5 p.m. Monday, April 2nd, 2008.
• Send registration materials to: Portland Rose Festival Foundation/MusicFest, 5603 SW Hood Ave., Portland, OR 97239.

Rules:
• At least half of band’s members must be currently enrolled in high school or middle school.
• All band member must be 21 years and younger.
• Additional points may be granted for original songs as well as uniquely arranged and performed cover songs.
• Selected bands must perform all songs live and may not include use of any pre-recorded material.
• Song lyrics shall not be objectionable to a broad range of the general public and should not focus upon controversial political,
ideological, religious or social themes or issues.

The top three bands will win cash prizes, gift certificates and a performance time at WaMu Waterfront Village during the Portland Rose Festival, which runs Thursday May 29 - Sunday, June 8, 2008.
