LINE 6 Tone Port UX1

Line 6 Tone port UX1

Professional producers, engineers, and musicians turn to Line 6 in studios around the world because they know that great mixes start with great recordings.  Now we’re introducing the world’s first line of recording & modeling interfaces with our pro grade tone for guitar, bass, vocals, and more.

TonePort™ is like a rack full of premium tube recording equipment, plus a perfectly engineered recording room for guitar and bass, thanks to our acclaimed guitar/bass direct tone with mic and cab modeling. What else would you expect from the makers of the revolutionary POD® product family? TonePort even comes with a special version of the popular recording application Ableton Live created for Line 6 so you can start making great sounding recordings as soon as you open the box!

GearBox™
The included GearBox™ software controls TonePort and gives you a premium tone front end for all your recordings. Includes meticulously crafted models of premium tube studio preamps, vintage guitar and bass rigs, and sought after, personality-rich effects. This is the tone that pros rely on and only Line 6 provides.  Now it comes to your desktop with TonePort.

ToneDirect™
With Line 6’s exclusive ToneDirect™ monitoring, you get fully processed audio in real time while you track!  Far better than recording through plug-ins, it avoids the latency from your recording program and operating system.  ToneDirect also easily beats analog direct monitoring options that force you to record guitar without hearing the amp model and effects, or struggle to get an inspired vocal with no reverb!  With GearBox software and TonePort hardware, it’s easy to get amazing sounding recordings every time inspiration hits.

GearBox™ is the Line 6 software that gives the TonePort™ UX1 hardware interfaces world-class studio tone on the desktop. Built on the technological foundation of the studio-standard POD® XT and Bass POD® XT direct recording devices, GearBox provides a hardware-like, simple to understand and operate interface for dialing in the perfect tone every time.

GearBox's meticulously crafted recreations of a dream collection of 16 classic and modern guitar amplifiers,24 guitar speaker cabinet models, 5 must-have bass amp and cab models, and 24 stompbox and studio effects capture the range of tone found on the best tracks ever recorded. You can mix and match PODXT-based amp and cab models based on * Marshall®, Fender®, Mesa/Boogie®, Vox®, Roland®, Soldano and more, with realistic looking controls that make any guitarist feel right at home.

Feel like cutting your guitar and vocal track at the same time? No problem. GearBox lets you have a completely different signal path for your guitar and vocal. Now you can have the same great guitar tone you’re used to while your vocal gets treated to models of a vintage preamps, compressors, reverb and more. And with ToneDirect™ monitoring, you get the fully processed audio while you track both parts. GearBox will even send the processed vocal and guitar signals as two separate stereo sends directly into your recording software at the same time!

TonePort™ hardware features studio-grade microphone preamps that make getting a pure vocal tone easy. The exclusive GearBox™ tone software gives you models of the most sought after preamps in the recording world. GearBox even lets you run a completely different signal path for your microphone input with models of vintage preamps, compressors, and reverbs while still giving you the ultimate direct recording sound for your guitar. Feel like recording with a great mic pre and compressor and saving the reverb/delay effects for the mix? No problem. Gearbox can be set up to send your dry vocal to your recording app even when you're monitoring with post effects like mod, delay and reverb. Record either the wet or dry signal - or both. It's your choice!

And with ToneDirect™ monitoring, you get fully processed audio so you get the sound of a million dollar studio right when you start tracking. In minutes, you’ll be creating tracks that typically take an entire studio, an expert engineer, and a huge hourly rate to pull off!
