Kit has been a professional musician for 35 years, teaching
guitar for over 25 years. He is experienced with a variety of
styles on acoustic and electric guitar, performing live, recording
and teaching pop, rock, rhythm & blues, jazz, folk, new acoustic
and blues. He can help you with technique, strumming, flat picking,
finger picking, accompanying, soloing, playing as part of a
combo, and chord melody among other things. Lessons balance
essentials of guitar technique and theory with learning songs.
Songs are chosen in collaboration with student to keep learning
fun and motivating while building a solid base of understanding.
The goal of lessons is to develop the ability to improve artistically
and technically, to nurture passion and creativity, and most
of all, to enjoy playing the guitar!
